Bill,

This is all whacked out.  I use an 811MB external Quantum (Thunderbolt
I believe?  Can't rember exactly).

Anyway, it doesn't like the SBC driver at all.  Read as - trashes
my partitions when used.

I'm using mine on a PowerBook 160 with a 120MB internal Quantum
'Go' drive (no BSD partions on it) a 12x Toshiba CD-ROM, and the
Jaz (which read about my recent disasters).

What gives with this stuff?
