i installed the 1.2 tarballs, which included GENERIC#1. ps, w, and other
programs used to work fine.
however, i just upgraded to GENERICSBC#26, and i got the proc size mismatch
errors.

the FAQ explains how to fix proc size mitchmatch errors, but will the new
binaries i make be fully compatible with both the GENERIC#1 kernel and the
GENERICSBC#26 kernel?
