Hi,

Well, it seems no one has answered this, but by the way you asked, I am
not that surprised. People on this list are very good about helping, but
you also have to put some effort into trying yourself. If you want a
spoon-fed, plug and play OS, then I am afraid NetBSD is not it. OTOH, if
you want to learn a lot about UN*X, NetBSD is great because you have to
learn to get it running.

The best place to start finding the answers to your questions is in the
installation documents. The installation is rather straight forward
including the instructions for partitioning your HD. Note that you will
likely lose all data on your HD, so **make sure you back up all data
first**.

   ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/NetBSD-1.2.1/mac68k/INSTALL

Once you have read through the INSTALL document completely, another good
place to read through is the MacBSD FAQ. In particular, section 4 covers
common installation problems.

   http://www.macbsd.com/macbsd/macbsd-docs/faq/

If you have problems during your installation, go through the FAQ or the
mailing list archives (the lists addresses for the archives). If you
can't find the answers there, then ask specific questions here on the
list, but try to provide as much information as you can. In particular,
it is helpful to have exact and complete error messages, as well as a list
of the things you have done or tried up to the point where you get the
error.

I am sorry to be blunt, but vague pleas for hand-holding are usually
ignored. Personally, I would rather have someone give me the lay of the
land (albeit harshly) than just be ignored.
