	I had the same problem here with my Q610. I didn't know what to
edit in the rc.conf file but I used logic and found the obvious line in its
default setting:

rc_configured=NO

Just change it to rc_configured=YES and it'll work.

But this is not the end of your problems. At first, I also installed 1.2.1
versions of base, etc, man, misc, text, and comp packages with the
GENERIC-45 kernel. But someone in this list pointed out to me earlier that
all of the 1.2.1 packages are INCOMPATIBLE with any kernels newer than
1.2.1. GENERIC-45 kernel is much newer than 1.2.1 (unlike 1.2.1,
GENERIC-45 supports Q610, 770, and a lot of other Quadras). To solve this
incompatibility problem, go to this mirror site
<ftp://ftp.eecs.umich.edu/pub/NetBSD/arch/mac68k/current-971004/snapshot/>
and download all the packages in that dir. These packages are the latest
snapshot binary packages that are compatible with GENERIC-45 kernel.
Also, before you install the latest binaries, you might want to initialize
your hard drive and format it again (this is really the best way as all the
stuff you already installed have to be removed anyway). This will ensure a
very clean installation of the new binaries. Hope this helps.
