Can folks please try pub/outgoing/briggs/netbsd-971104.gz?  I think that
will allow X to run on LC630 and Q630 machines.  It will show up as
1.3A, not 1.3_ALPHA as this kernel was compiled from sources on the
head, not the release branch of the sources.  If I get reports of it
working, I'll try to get the changes into 1.3, but I need to hear SOON.
