Subject: tty setup kills multi-user boot-up

I got the latest 1.3_ALPHA from ftp.netbsd.org and installed it on my
Mac LC III + FPU. When I edited /etc/rc to add -v to ttyflags, I get:

ttyflags: setting flags on /dev/console to none
ttyfalgs: TIOCSFLAGS on /dev/console: Inappropriate ioctl for device
ttyflags: setting flags on /dev/ttye0 to none
ttyfalgs: TIOCSFLAGS on /dev/ttye0: Inappropriate ioctl for device
ttyflags: setting flags on /dev/tty00 to none

At this point, the boot process hung.

This is after a Mac-side mkfs + install base & etc & GENERIC-48 +
Build devices.

Does anyone know what's going on?

Thanks,
