OK, I think I've asked this question before; quite awhile ago actually,
but I'm also sure I did.

Here it is: I often use a Linux box as my router when connecting to work.
Under certain circumstances, attempting to telnet from this Mac running
NetBSD to a system at work, crashes the link (PPP) between that Linux box
and work.

Now, before you say my Linux box is broke, consider this: this connection
stays up all day when I work from home, supporting connections from my
home network (ethernet) to work. I use Mac's running MacTCP, Mac's
running
8.0/OpenTransport, Linux or FreeBSD running on other Intel boxes or
laptops,
Windows for Workgroups running on a notebook using MicroSoft's supposedly
broken tcp/ip stack, and sessions from Win95 and NT as well, all use this
Linux box as their router.

THE ONLY SYSTEM THAT CRASHES THE LINK IS NETBSD! Does anyone know why
this
happens, or can take a stab at it? I'd really like to resolve this, since
I work from home several days a week due to a medical problem, it is more
than just a passing interest, to say the least.

Bummer!
