Hm... I've been interested in finding a text-based mailer that seamlessly
handles sorting messages into multiple folders, and that presents the
folders in an easily-accessibly way. (Basically, I've been spoiled by
Eudora, and I want something that can do everything Eudora does for me, but
through a VT100. :) When new mail for the port-mac68k list comes in, for
instance, it's automagically squirreled away in a mail folder dedicated to
the list, and a window pops up so I have easy access to the folder. I like
this.
I've encountered one program (another interface for MH, I think) that does
this for Xwindows, but I have yet to find anything that seamlessly does
this for a text-based environment. Something vaguely elmish would be cool.
I've tried pine, and I really dislike the interface. I haven't installed
ncurses, and, hence, I haven't tried mutt, but I don't remember easy
handling of multiple mail folders as being touted, anyway.
Thanks in advance for ideas!
PS: My goal is to switch over from using elm on my Mac to using a
text-based mailreader running directly on my NetBSD box. I'm not unhappy
with Eudora - I just want to be able to access my mail from anywhere where
I can connect to my Unix machine.
