Last week I posted a message asking for help on several problems, and got
many suggestions, for which I thank everybody. But, I still cannot get
netatalk running.
Here's the setup. I have a IIci running the 1.3beta (GENERIC) kernel
posted to netBSD.org over the weekend. The version of netatalk is
netatalk1.4b2.netbsd.b2.gz. It's on my ethernet at home, which has one
zone.
I can telnet and ftp into the ci from another machine, so I know the
ethernet is working under NetBSD. During startup, when the Appletalk
daemons are invoked, I get the following error:
starting appletalk daemons:bind:Can't assign requested address
I've carefully looked through all the install files and can't find any
errors. My next step will be to rebuild the kernel, unless someone has a
less drastic thing to try first.

My PC is much faster, more expensive, and has more disk space than yours.
And, my operating system is FAR superior. And, my.... AGH! MY HEAD!
