Hi Greg,

Which X distribution are you using? Are you using 1.3x or 1.2x? 

The reason why I ask is because, AFAIK, the 1.3x distribution is based on
XFree86, whereas the 1.2x distribution is based on X11R6. I have never
used WindowMaker, but I understand that it was created by Linux users for
Linux users. And, I believe, Linux uses XFree86. I have read that there
are a lot of problems getting WM working under X11R6 or on non-Linux
platforms. If you are not using NetBSD 1.3, you might want to upgrade (I
hear the official release is due out any time now). 

Also, what type of Mac are you using?  If you work through the WM
homepage, while the screen shots look very cool, you will find that the
windows manager itself does a lot of on the fly dithering and other
graphic manipulations. The homepage mentions the P word (Pentium) an awful
lot. Even with a Quadra, I would be worried.

If you really like the NeXT look, you might want to try AfterStep instead.
