Hello, this question deals more with BSD, but since I am running it on my se/30, I'll try here.

What is up with having to type a ./ before programs will run when I am in that directory?

I know its go to be something in my path statement.

If I am in /user/X11R6/bin

and i type:

xterm

I get: command not found. I have to type:

./xterm

to run it.

here is my .cshrc:

alias mail Mail
set history=1000
set path=(/sbin /usr/sbin /bin /usr/bin /usr/X11R6/bin /usr/X11R6/lib)

# directory stuff: cdpath/cd/back
set cdpath=(/sys /usr/src/{bin,sbin,usr.{bin,sbin},pgrm,lib,libexec,share,contri
b,local,devel,games,old,})

setenv BLOCKSIZE 1k

-----------

any ideas???
