This is driving me nuts.

The umask for my users is set to 22.

When they ftp in files, NetBSD does NOT follow the umask!!!

For instance, they are ftping in files for the WWW, and world-readable is
never being set!

a umask of 22 = 755 which is rwx,r x,r x

These people are novices, and can't telnet in and chmod around.

But beyond that, why is NetBSD ignoring the UMASK for ftp transfers??
