3.x was chock-full of them, apparently, at least in the Mac version.
You'll note that some of the 3.x gold's had 12 meg minimum memory
partition... double it if you wanted it to last more than an hour w/o
crashing....  ;-)  My advice on that is to use that MacOS Purge program
(that purges all the dangling objects that NS leaves behind).  I'm not
sure where you can find it except that it's been on at least one of the
MacAddict CD-ROMs.

That's curious.  I've found Communicator to be infinitely more stable than
3.x (almost no crashes except in the MkLinux version).  But then, I'm
using System 7.5.5 on a PM7100.  What version of MacOS are you using?
