Sounds good so far....did you successfully mount the drive in the
mini-shell?

Hmmm....are you sure that the partition is really on sd0b?  I believe that
it should be sd0a if it's a "root&usr" type partition or sd0g if it's a
"usr" type partition, but I could be misremembering...

Do a:

disklabel sd0

as root and see where the NetBSD partition is.
