Well, the SCSI performance will increase to where it should have the
fastest performance in the mac68k world if they get the DMA working, which
as Colin mentioned is being looked at. Why would you say that 1.3 might
have problems with serial I/O? While I don't exactly tax my serial port,
I've never had any problems with it. I just use a 14.4 modem and sometimes
an ISDN TA with my Q840 AV. About the biggest problem that I've experienced
is that (in both NetBSD and MacOS) the computer doesn't like using the
printer port for modem use. I haven't looked much into this, & just use the
printer port for my DeskWriter, but I found it odd.
