I have a full time connection to the internet via SLIP line (hardwired, not
dial-up) that I want to share with other computers on my LAN. I have NetBSD
running on a Centris 660av which is connected to both the SLIP line and to
my ethernet hub. I have IP-NAT up and running, but there are problems when
trying to send e-mail or view web pages from the computers on the LAN. I
believe that both the SLIP line and ethernet settings are correct because I
can access the NetBSD machine from anywhere on the LAN without problems. I
can also access the internet from the NetBSD machine just fine. In fact, I
can check e-mail (but not send) and even receive the text portion of some
web pages from other machines on my LAN. Any guesses yet? Is it possible
that this is a MTU issue? If so, how can I set the MTU for the SLIP line?
If it's not MTU related, what is causing the problems?
