Hi everybody,
I would like to know what is the correct way to configure my host name
in the /etc/hosts file.
For example, my mac is called "wooper" (I know, it's not
very original :-)) and I created a "/etc/myname" file with "wooper" in it
and a /etc/hosts with
127.0.0.1 localhost wooper
in it.
But each time I try to send me a mail, so each time sendmail is awaken by
inetd, it tells me (something like this) :
sendmail: unable to resolve my unqualified name (wooper).
I've also tried to set
127.0.0.1 wooper localhost
or
127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.1 wooper
in "/etc/hosts" but it's the same cheat...
By the way, when I try to start xlock (more) with no parameters it tells me :
xlock : can not get host by name
Thanks
