Hi, again.
Is it possible to change boot records for directly start ing up NetBSD
without MacOS?
I realised some can be done. With my old LC I managed to print a color
pattern at
start up 3 years ago and changed glob. var. $0000012f(some of programs
thought my machine was 68030!!). If you want I can send you a disassembled code
but I am suspicous if this is illegal, please warn me if so.
On boot sequance I can say that theese steps are done.
1) Memory allocation for system and debugger, snd buffers.
2) Keyboard setings.
3)Mounting Boot Volume.
4)Jump to the System.load rsrc boot id0 id1 id2
5)Load "DSAT" rsrc.
6)goto PTCH res.
7)......
So I belive this could be done but how. I don't have a good
68k assembly language.
But I have a big question that Apple give permission to change the
boot code??!
