just a quick reminder:

if you had intended to test the changes to the reboot code i made
available earlier this week, the deadline for reponses is coming up
quickly.  i'd like to commit this code by this time tomorrow morning CST.
speak up now if the new code is giving you trouble but you haven't told me
yet.
