A lot better than with OPENBSD - I couldn't get any DHCP clients to work
with it.

Media One uses DHCP, and is keyed to the ethernet hardware address.  With
NetBSD, just plug in the cable modem and set up DHCP.

(Since the provider's don't want you running a NATing machine and local
network, when the guy comes to install, better have MacOS running with the
card you want to use for NetBSD.)

If you have two ethernet interfaces, setting up IP-NAT is pretty trivial
after that.
