It looks like this variant of the Sonic isn't 100% compatible with the 
"Apple Ethernet LC twisted-pair card using the Sonic-T DP83934BVUL chip" 
which does work with 1.3.2.  You'll probably need to try and locate some 
information about what the differences are before it can be incorporated 
and used.

What does the card report as it's MAC address, or does it ever get that 
far?  It may be using a different address range for registers and PRAM, 
may be using 32-bit registers instead of 16-bit, may have the MAC address 
bit-flipped, etc.
