no, that's just fine (actually, i would recommend installing from within
netbsd as it's a _lot_ faster, but you can also screw up in the way i
cited).
do you have /usr/bin in your path? doing an "echo $path" should tell you.
you definitely have something strange going on, tho....do an "ls /usr/bin"
and make sure that gcc or cc is there.
oh, do you have a separate /usr partition? if so, perhaps you forgot to
mount it before installing the comp.tgz set?
