Time to give something back to the group:

Using NetBSD v1.3, I was able to download the following and have them
compile successfully on my 840AV and I'm a novice at this mind you.

PINE4.02 (this includes pine pico imapd-[support for pop2&3] and
mtest]

ircii-pana-75p1 which is the source for VERSION BitchX-75p1+ by
panasync

sendmail.8.9.1 which is the latest version of sendamil available

get PINE at ftp://ftp.cac.washington.edu/pine/pine4.02.tar.gz

see intruction on compiling and installing these at

		http://www.washington.edu/pine/tech-notes/installation.html

about halfway down the page you'll see:

		Building the Pine Programs

		READ THESE!

	again	POC

get BitchX at
ftp://ftp.bitchx.org/pub/BitchX/source/ircii-pana-75p1.tar.gz

see this page for the general flow of compiling

		http://www.bitchx.com/compiling.htm

get Sendmail at
ftp://ftp.sendmail.org/pub/sendmail/sendmail.8.9.1.tar.gz

to compile sendmail after you've unpacked it go to the source README

YES, I said read the README file in $PATH/sendmail-8.9.1/src

	also see http://www.iav.com/ia/unix/sendmail.html

Steps 9 thru 12 are pertinant here

	POC [piece of cake]

NetBSD is usually in the build files as
<underline>neb</underline> just incase you are
wondering.

These all work on version 1.3

Good luck
