Is there anyway to speed up the main console display?
When I startup without X, the main console scrolls at what
appears to be equivalent to a 2400 baud modem.
If I startx, then everything is fine.  xterms scroll at a blinding
rate.  But once I quit X and return to a plain screen, text
scrolls at an excruciatingly slow rate.  What's going on?
