Almost there...
Now I get:
/usr/libexec/ld.so: lynx: libncurses.so.3.4: Permission denied
unless I am root
I have the file
-r-xr-xr-x 1 bin bin 57344 May 16 14:53 /usr/libexec/ld.so
It is readble and executable... Does it have to be writeable?
