Just to make things interesting, there was/is a company called Sonic which
makes ethernet cards, and there's a "Sonic" ethernet chip set. But the
company called Sonic didn't always use the Sonic chipset, and companies
other than Sonic did use the Sonic chipset.

So the fact that a box/card is branded Sonic says little about the driver,
unfortunatly.
