Hi.
Excuse for poor english, and for cross-posting;
maybe it's just general UNIX question.
I have NetBSD-1.3.2 (base, etc, kern) on Quadra800,
now i'm using it as server to netboot NetBSD on
Sun SparcStation 1+(no video, no keyb, no disk).
At Sun firmware prompt
i type --
boot net
--Booting from: le(0,0,0)
then it sits a pair of minutes and writes --
--receive failed
I have ethers in place; rarp in debugging mode tells -- "Got a packet".
Tftpd us enabled, and in /tftpboot I have C0A80137.SUN4C (symbolic link to
sparc boot.net).
tftp works ok from local (I can't test it today from outside -- besides
Quadra and Sun i have only Powerbook without Ethernet:(
but when Sparc must download booter, tftp writes on console
---Dec 14 03:07:28 magus tftpd[1543]: tftpd: write: Host is down
---Dec 14 03:07:28 magus tftpd[1544]: tftpd: write: Host is down
and so on, till Sparc doesn't give up.
Maybe some clues--what's wrong in my setup?
thanks.
