Check your smtp log files and see if there was some reason for it to be
deferred, like a network or nameserver outage or something. Odds are,
either it was deferred and sendmail hadn't ever had its queue flushed
(sendmail -q every so often is a good thing) or it coughed up a hairball
and delivered the message twice, once back in Dec., and once two days ago.
Weird things like that do happen every so often, but usually from mailing
list servers.... ;-)
