I use wide-dhcp-1.4.0p1 on FreeBSD-PC machine and connect
to CATV-ISP as dhcp client.
So I drug wide-dhcp from FreeBSD-2.8.8CD and drop onto Mac desktop
then install with "Installer" to NetBSD partition.
but it doesn't work.....(no wonder ha ha (^^;; )
In FreeBSD my wide-dhcp (as client) setting is like this
In /etc/rc.conf I write these lines....
network_interfaces="ed0 lo0"
ifconfig_ed0="inet netmask 255.255.255.0"
ifconfig_lo0="inet 127.0.0.1"
and I write /etc/start_if.ed0 like this...
#!/bin/sh
/usr/local/sbin/dhcpc -r -n ed0
Now everything goes well and I use netscape on FreeBSD.
well,my network interface card on Mac is recognized as "sn0" and when
in MacOS goes well as dhcp client,but when in NetBSD not yet..
Anybody tell me the way FreeBSD ports or packages to NetBSD
and the way to set right....
Thanks
