i'm kinda surprised that this doesn't work. we have a number of
video-related problems at the moment, tho, so i guess you'll just have to
hold on for this one for now, unless someone on the list has a decent
clue about what's happening. of course, this problem may be fixed in
-current, you never know :-)

take a look at the FAQ. i think this one is in there somewhere.
basically, you need to edit /etc/ttys to turn /dev/ttye0 off and turn on
whichever port (tty00 or tty01) your serial console is on (tty00 is the
modem port, tty01 is the printer).
