I have seen the same behavior on my Quadra 700 (8/250, System 7.5.3)
with the 1.4 kernel I downloaded a while back (not long after the
release). It's the standard mac68k installation so I guess it's a
GENERIC kernel.
I saw the same problem on another Quadra 700 I installed on (20/500,
System 8.5).
Caps lock toggles just fine so it's trivial to work around.
I can't remember if either machine ever booted with caps lock off.
I don't need to boot very often. :)
I'll have some time Sunday night if anyone wants me to run some tests.
NetBSD on mac68k is really cool. Thanks to everyone that has
contributed.
