Hello list
I ahve just installed netbsd 1.4.1 on a centris 650. I installed the
base package and then copied and detared the other packages from within
bsd. When I attempted to edit rc.conf(with vi) I got the following
message:
WARNING: TERM environment variable not set.
vi: unknown: unknown terminal type
At this point I reread the install document and tried
mount /
export TERM=vt220
to which the box made no immediate complaint , until I tried to vi
rc.conf again and got the last message again.
When i boot it gives me the message
tset: terminal type vt220 is unknown
I could not find this specific problem in the faqs so I thought i would
ask here. Would reinstalling base.tgz be worth a try?
Sal
