I've switched bback to the 1.4 kernel, and still have problems:
% top
kvm_open: proc size mismatch (13986 total, 674 chunks)
top: Out of memory.
% uname -a
NetBSD bigmac 1.4 NetBSD 1.4 (GENERIC) #0: Sat May 8 20:54:59 PDT 1999
root2@c610:/usr/src/sys/arch/mac68k/compile/GENERIC mac68k
as well, netatalk still doesn't work. it gives me a 05024 error on the mac
side, and the server complains of afp_null handle 37
