I have a NetBSD box attached to both a T1 and an ISDN line. I'd like to be able
to service connections to both. They are on totally different subnetts. In fact,
the ISDN router uses NAT so for the ISDN the NetBSD box is on 192.168.0.0.
Here's the problem. Packets come in through the ISDN ok, but they go out through
the T1. (it's the default gateway) Is there a way to be able to service requests
from both? The ISDN is mainly supposed to be a backup connection. Ideally it
would automatically be used if the T1 was down. However, ideally no traffic
would go over the ISDN unless the T-1 was down (no outbound traffic that would
force the connection to come up, which is a by the hour connection).
Does this sound possible? I supposed it could be a cron job that checks over the
T1 and changes the default gateway if it is down longer than x minutes.
Ideas? Can this be done with a routing daemon?
Thanks,
