The package system(i.e. pkg_add and pkg_delete) should be installed with 1.4.1 by default. The first time you run pkg_add on a new system it will give you some type of pkg_info error. Run it a second time and it should install the package just fine. This has been my experience.

I have downloaded and extracted. When I try to make something it indicates I need to make pkgtools...when I try to make pkgtools...it indicates I need to upgrade pkg_install...when I attempt to do this I recieve and error "make: don't know how to make all. Stop. ****error 1. Stop..." This happens as root...as single user with read/write access. I can go no further but badly want to.
