I find this particularly useful under NetBSD 68k because of the speed advantage
of running wu-ftpd in daemon mode. I thought other might be ineterested.

I have released a patch to wu-ftpd version 2.6.1 to allow tcp wrapper checks
(/etc/hosts.allow and /etc/hosts.deny) when the server is run in standalone
daemon mode (-S switch). Anyone wishing to get the speed advantage of running
the server in standalone mode and still keep the wrapper access control should
consider this patch.

The patch is open to peer review and I would appreciate any and all feedback.
