The Q650 is well supported. It is a most excellent machine for NetBSD.
It is one of the faster 040 macs out there.
Your drive is a bit on the small side, but large enuf to fit the entire
NetBSD distro on it, including X.
32megs of RAM is ideal.
I am pretty sure you could compile kernels on it.
Only thing you might wanna do is drop in a 1 or 2 gig drive.
