NetBSD is being actively ported to new handheld and embedded
platforms with less memory and sometimes less CPU than
mac68k boxes, so in performance terms the mac68k port is
still very relevant.
1.5 did lose significant performance compared to 1.4, but
IIRC Allan fixed the biggest mac68k specific issue (SCSI),
plus since 1.5 new kernel options have been added to allow
reduction of kernel size, a tech-perform list has been
setup, and more people are looking at performance issues.
