Actually, this is pretty easy to fix.
Change your:
mii_attach(&sc->sc_dev, &sc->sc_mii, 0xffffffff, ...);
to:
mii_attach(&sc->sc_dev, &sc->sc_mii, ~(BMSR_100TXFDX|BMSR_10TFDX), ...);
That should mask out the full-duplex capabilities from the PHY.
