Do you have only Apple hardware? I seem to recall that someone else had
a problem with some slightly non-standard hardware. I'm not sure how
that was resolved or even when the discussion was, but you might try
searching the archives for "Illegal instruction trap" and "mouse" or
some such. I don't know if this might be fixed in more recent kernels.
You could try booting a snapshot -current kernel. If that works, you
might try the 1.5.1_BETA (which is currently being built and won't be
available for a couple of days, unfortunately).
