Takeo-san, you should find that this Booter outputs many less =
IDE
related errors when booting.

This new booter also sets a new kernel environment variable, =
like:

ROOT_ATA_DEV=3D0,0

Takeshi-san, if you are able to make a few kernel modifications,
the addition of code to parse this variable should finally allow your
IDE kernels to fully boot from an IDE drive.

(Also, I had a look at the BootLog you sent me
from Booter 2.0.0a9 on your PowerBook 550:

	reading partition # 1 , partition name - 'Macintosh_Bs'
	reading partition # 2 , partition name - 'PB550'
	reading partition # 3 , partition name - 'IBM'
	reading partition # 4 , partition name - 'IBM'
reading partition # 5 , partition is invalid

	Chose partition 3, name 'IBM'
	type 'Apple_Unix_SVR2'
blocks in map 5, start block 164416, length 72000
	Magic from fs: 0
	Magic from .h: 72020

I think the problem may be that the Booter has chosen
the swap partition instead of the root partition.

If you are able to use a MacOS disk formatting utility
to give different names to partitions 3 and 4, then you
can force the Booter to use partition 4 instead.

  Hope that helps)
