Hi,

# It seems that NetBSD disklabel is incompatible to Mac OS disklabel.
# Would you execute newfs -I without changing disklabel and pax ... by
# your hand?

Cool, now I'm 1 step further.

I created a new filesystem on the ide drive, mounted it, untared etc and base and copied the kernelimage from the scsi drive on it.

Then I created an fstab file and rebooted macos which I put in the meantime on the ide drive.

Unfortunately the booter (Booter2.0.0a7.sea.hqx) can't boot from my ide drive.

booter config:
- root device: ata
- kernel name: netbsd
- partition: wd0b (that should be right, it's not wd0a since somehow a kind of macos bootloader occupies wd0a).

boot error message (typed by hand):
booting...warning, cannot get configuration of ata drive 0, error -50
warning, cannot get configuration of ata drive 0, error -50
warning, cannot get configuration of ata drive 0, error -50
warning, cannot get configuration of ata drive 0, error -50
warning, cannot get configuration of ata drive 0, error -50
<a couple of times>
warning, cannot get configuration of ata drive 0, error -50
magic numbers do not match -- improper ufs partition
could not open kernel netbsd

******** boot stopped *****************

Any ideas?
- Stefan
