I need help & some info in getting my Performa 460 up on my network. 
can't seem to fetch an ip address form my cable/dsl router .

Anyone able ti walk me through this ?

Also, what kind of x-window enviorment can I get running on this system 
? KDE ? Gnome ? etc ?
