Pry apart... flat bladed screwdriver... squeeze... Ouch!
Heh, this is a Macintosh, and one of the nicest, too -- not some piece of
peecee junk doorstop!!1!

Seriously: Loosen the four screws, then lay the SE/30 'face down' on a
cushion, grip the sides with both flat hands, and shake lightly.
Eventually, the back of the case will come off.
No heavy tools needed.
