You have a nice machine !
I think you know the answer already.
If your nice machine was mine :), I would do;
1. read INSTALL.txt again
ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/NetBSD-1.6.1/mac68k/INSTALL.txt
"Installing the NetBSD System (Sysinst Method).................15"
"Installing the NetBSD System (Traditional Method).............23"
2. install MacOS 7.5.5
http://www.info.apple.com/support/oldersoftwarelist.html
3. make Partitions 4GB HDD like this;
/
swap (128MB)
/usr
/var
/tmp
/home
HFS
4. use Sysinst Method and install binary set via FTP
----------------------------------------------
What version of NetBSD do you like to install?
We have "Installer_1.1h", it's newer than 1.1g.
ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/NetBSD-1.6.1/mac68k/installation/misc/
(I forget the difference between them.)
Why do you choose Traditional Method?
(I prefer Sysinst Method because it's easy and faster.)
If your Mystic didn't have a NIC, I'm sure that one of
APPLE ETHERNET CS TWISTED-PAIR CARD 820-0607-A
APPLE ETHERNET LC TWISTED-PAIR CARD 820-0532-B*
card works fine on Mystic/NetBSD. Needless to say? Maybe :)
