I guess your dt is 'dt-1.1.7.tgz' from packages/1.5/mac68k/ and it
 is 'pkg-add'ed on 1.6x, isn't it?
'dt-1.1.7.tgz' is a.out and 1.6x is ELF. This mismatching makes;

I don't know how to fix it, maybe next page or "# man ld.so.conf" ??

My SE/30 (1.6.2) has 'dt-1.1.7nb3' which is installed with using-pkgsrc.

Using pkgsrc is interesting.   After the installation, you'll find README
and 'sample.dtrc' in /usr/pkg/share/doc/dt
It works nicely on my several Macs including FPU-less 16MHz '030s with
Bruce O'Neel's new 1.6.2 kernel.
