There is a tested softfloat build at

ftp://ftp.ziaspace.com/pub/NetBSD/m68k/current/mac68ksoftfloat_20060115/

from 15 Jan 2006.  I cheated and fired up the x86 system and built it.
The snapshot from 14 Jan would not build.

The good news is that it seems to basically work.  The bad news is that
sysinst is now so fubared that even update doesn't work anymore.

- Cosmetically, the selection screen for which tar files to install
is cut off, so you don't get the full Yes/No results.  Still works.

- After the progress bar question sysinst clears the screen and then
does nothing.  One can ^Z out and do things, but, sysinst seems to do
nothing more.

As a result you now are going to use the procedure in
