what I could track down is
http://mail-index.NetBSD.org/port-mac68k/1998/04/16/0009.html which at
least has names of people to ask. The code appears to have "license
issues", though.

The original code is available from
http://www.cs.northwestern.edu/~pdinda/codes.html, look for "MacFS".
