Hiya, Jake!
Did you ever try
ftp://ftp.rse.com/pub/NetBSD/arch/macppc/snapshot/20000610/binary/kernel/netbsd.EASTERN_ZB.gz
?
As I've pointed out in an earlier post, we stripped the kernel of most
anything vaguely un-resembling a 7500. That might help you, I don't
know. Most specifically, Adaptec support is gone, (as is almost
anything else on the PCI bus), but esp support is still there.
We compiled 1.5_ALPHA2 (put up for ftp 27 August 2000), 29 August
2000, and it's been up ever since. I know I promised that I'd let you
know how it went, but better late than never.
Find it at:
ftp://ftp.rse.com/pub/NetBSD/arch/macppc/snapshot/20000827/binary/kernel/netbsd.EASTERN-1.5ALPHA2
(This time I tested ftp'ing them, and I know it works. Last time
there was a wee problem involving the lack of a slash between
"snapshot" and "20000610" ;>)
Now, we don't use the esp bus. I don't know if that makes a
difference. Anyhow, try the small kernel, and if that doesn't work,
then it's time to "compare cards" (pun intended) in detail. Let's see
if we can get you going.
