Booting from the 1.4.2 install floppy, I did:
# mount /dev/sd1a /mnt
sd1: NetBSD disklabel
# mount /dev/sd1g /mnt/usr
# cp /usr/mdec/ofwboot /mnt/boot
# /usr/mdec/installboot /mnt/boot /usr/mdec/bootxx /dev/rsd1a
Where:

sd1 at scsibus1 targ 1 lun 0: <QUANTUM, LIGHTNING 730S, 241E> SCSI2 0/direct fixed

Any thoughts?
